Kieran’s arc really hit me hard especially in the indigo disk. The way he broke down after the battle then that dragon guy started taunting him- it really hit hard I really hope he heats that sort of arc in the anime with like or Roy perhaps as it would also evolve both characters

I like the player character. I dunno my reasoning as well.... but they would rank #1 for me. But i'm fine with this tier list. BUT THE FACT THAT KIERAN IS NUKMBER 1 OUT OF ALL PEOPLE PISSES ME OFF! but that's mainly because of the design, edgy nonsense and the fan arts. I really hate everything about him.

The VERY MOMENT I found about Mabostiff, I stopped everything TO IMMEDIATELY SAVE THE GOODBOI. I play Pokémon since 1999, I was 10 at that time, so I did not really appreciate it with the innocent sides of a 7/8 y.o., event though it instantly became, up until now, my favorite videogame ever. And for the first time with Mabostiff, I UGLY CRIED while playing Pokémon. Never happened before. It almost made me forget about the billion problems in the game. Almost.

It's not surprising to me. The list of anime / manga / game characters voted by female anime fans at the beginning of this year (The popularity poll that Rika dominated for two consecutive years), Kieran is fourth in the rankings, after Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto (What a coincidence is that Kieran's Japanese name is Suguri, which is very similar to Suguru W). And Drayton also appears on this list at rank 17. By the way, I think the reason people voted for the protagonists is because they could be shipping with Kieran / Arven (and maybe Nemona) XD

Wait, there's a Pokémon adventures for gen 9? I can understand why Kieran ranks so high; he's probably my favourite character because of how incredibly fleshed-out he is.

Arven should have stayed at 1..but to be fair Keiran and Arven had a fun interaction in the final part of the DLC [the Mochi Madness event] so you get to see a different side to Keiran which I guess swayed the vote to his favor. Also..for those that battled Keiran in the DLC..did you guys start the battle with Ogerpon..xD I did it and man was he LIVID.

Commenting from the future here. The perceived issue is a lot less prevalent now considering what the main focus of the show is atm, but at the time this was released, i see where complaints are coming from. Me personally, even before the show came out i had an eyebrow raised at the "two protagonists" marketing cause it always felt like Liko was priority. And sure enough, show dropped with Roy not even appearing till episode 4 because of how much weight and set up towards Liko was needed. Liko was always THE protagonist in my eyes, while Roy was the main companion/supporting character. Which has rung true all this time. But i do get feeling like the pokeball mystery got gwomped into Liko specific territory while Roy is just focused on fighting Rayquaza pretty much. Which even then Liko kinda shares now, cause let's be honest he was never accomplishing that solo anyway lol. But yeah to me this is just about what i expected of the show, but i get why folks who came in with Roy as their fav were a little disappointed, at least a few months ago before the current arc.

As someone who follows a lot of Poke-artists on Twitter, I'm not surprised both Florian and Keiran are top 10. Hells, with how often they are paired I figured at least Florian would be higher. Thanks to the anime I also figured Iono would be high up there, so it's nice to see her in top 10.

Usually pokemon game and anime has a different storyline till Galat region. But this time in pokemon scarlet and violet anime has giving some references from the their game storyline like bringing the scarlet book in the library. I think they are mixing up the game storyline into anime.

I really wish the writers would stop making female leads who are unsure or unconfident in what their goals initially are. I feel like it’s a really tired out troupe at this point they keep using. I guess the reason why Dawn is so beloved as a character is bc she knows what she wants from the beginning of her story sticks to her ambition constantly despite having moments of doubt that are brought up due to inexperience but she eventually learns to overcome. Chloe on the other hand is the worst victim of poor writing decisions, and I feel like even if she was fleshed out more she’d still be a really boring character bc her indecisiveness stopped her from barely achieving anything.

I genuinely don’t feel that much emotion from a lot of the Pokémon characters. I mean I barely felt much from Arven, his story just didn’t hit me. Only his parents made me feel sorry for but I knew he was going to accept his loss with grace. Kieran was the first to make me actually say I don’t really want the legendary just keep Ogerpon. I wish I could have let him keep Terapagos. I think it hit me harder then Arven since he never broke down over his loss Kieran was mentally beaten down multiple times over the course of the DLC
